“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

About us

We, the Ballans, like to think of ourselves as part of the ERASMUS generation. The blurring of borders across Europe has paved the way for European love stories like ours to flourish.

Florian, originally from Germany, found himself working in Paris for a couple of years. In 2007, Meera, originally from the UK, also moved to Paris for a year to study there. As fate would have it, our paths crossed and our stars aligned.

2011 saw the wedding of the year (and I am not talking about Will and Kate) - in true Indian style, we celebrated with traditional and fun-filled festivities for an entire week, after which we jetted off for a luxurious and well-deserved honeymoon in Bali.

Now, one year on, we are embarking on our very own adventure. Three months of European exploration, in a bright red camper van no less, with no plans other than the open road and the promise of discovery.
